Results?

I received an email today. It came through at 6:02 am. I almost got excited...

it was the office lab work instead of the Quest lab work. FML!!

I need to get this IVF started at this new place ASAP. I figured it would take less time to get the labs from the original spot, see what was missing then take a few more vials and be done so I can move forward.

but no, it couldn't be that easy. We are already nearing the end of July and I have to be delayed in getting my results. which means I have to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment to see the doc at the new spot so I can get a bloodwork order. Once I get those results, its going to be at least 3 weeks to get those results and only then can i begin my prep cycle which will be September by now.

once the prep cycle is over, only then can I be placed on the donor egg list which can take anywhere from 2-5 months depending on the availability of the donor. If they are recruiting college students this could be when they come back for the winter break,

Tick Tock Already!

Today the nurse from the original location finally called me to tell me my labs were finally in and that I have a sickle cell trait. Ok, this is not news to me, Ive known this for decades, but thank you for the insight.

I asked her to email me my lab report. She said she could only email me the part she spoke to me about. Ok, great! I see myself moving back to square 1.

She said that she would email me the report and the receptionist would email me the rest.

so 1 minute before they closed, she emailed me with the receptionist's name phone number and email. again, this is not news. The most frustrating part of it all is that my labs were not even attached. FML

its Friday, they are closed and now Im on their clock.
